NEV Reducer Gears: Low Noise, High Speed

Overview

An electric reducer turns up to 15,000 rpm at the input and has to stay below 70 dB in the cabin. Gear whine, not strength, is usually the limiting specification.

• Ground flanks to GB/T 6 hold transmission error — the source of whine — below 2 µm.
• Lead crowning compensates shaft deflection under torque and avoids edge contact.
• Case 0.6–1.0 mm with a 32–42 HRC core suits high cycle counts without brittle fracture.
